The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is constantly at work creating, administering, and reviewing the programs and services available to small business owners. All of that effort is for nothing if small business owners—current and prospective—do not receive information about the work being done. Luckily, the SBA created the SBA Newsroom—a one-stop shop for critical information and news related to small businesses.
Knowledge is Power
We believe that being in-the-know about programs, services, and issues impacting small businesses is critical to being a successful small business owner. The SBA has created a space where you can access important, timely information on these topics in both English and Spanish. In the SBA Newsroom you’ll find—
- Press Releases—the SBA compiles press releases related to SBA programs, services, and resources, as well as press releases related to disaster relief programs for small businesses.
- Congressional Testimonies—the SBA keeps an up-to-date store of Inspector General Ware’s testimonies given before Congress for small business owners—and all other interested parties—to engage in informed citizenry when it comes to economic issues in the U.S.
- Op-Eds—just as important as media and government press releases, the SBA also houses opinion pieces written by SBA officials.
- Press Release Archives—the SBA Newsroom’s searchable database includes pieces from 2009 to present. For articles and information older than that, the SBA offers a downloadable zip file of archived material from 2002 to 2009.
With all of this information at your fingertips, there is no reason to NOT be in-the-know about national small business programs, services, resources, and news! The SBA has even made each collection of materials easily searchable by keywords, authoring agency, and the language in which the article is written.
