Orlando Baking Company
Keeping with the Old World ways of baking, Orlando Baking Company is continually growing and expanding at its location on Cleveland’s near east side. With the help of Growth Capital, Orlando Baking Company was able to complete a major expansion utilizing a U.S. SBA 504 loan.
Orlando Baking Company started in Italy in 1872. In 1904, part of the family moved to Cleveland and now five generations deep, is still in business. They pride themselves on their state of the art bakery and in keeping the tradition of the old world ways of baking European classics.
Located on Cleveland’s near east side, Orlando Baking runs nine production lines for their 250 varieties of baked goods in their 250,000 square foot facility. Orlando Baking Company primarily serves customers in the Midwest.
Recently, they finished a major expansion at their plant thanks to a nearly $3 million U.S. SBA 504 guaranteed loan secured with the help of Growth Capital and Huntington Bank. One of the keys to help Orlando secure the loan is that their facility is located in what is called a HUBZone, which means that it is located in an underutilized business zone.
With this expansion, Orlando Baking Company can continue to grow and expand, as well as actively contributing to the local Cleveland community by working with the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland and The Greater Cleveland Food Bank as well as several other organizations.
