An upcoming event in Columbus will focus on women business owners from across the country. As the Sep. 18 launch date of the National Association of Women Business Owners gets closer, more details are coming out about what attendees can expect from the National Women’s Business Conference. In addition to being set in Columbus, the convention will feature a few other points to make Buckeye State natives proud.
The event itself will take place in the Hyatt Regency Columbus, and will run from Sunday to Tuesday, Sep. 20. The official site has yet to list the specific schedule, but Chairwoman-elect Kathy Warnick told Columbus Business First that the conference could bring 1,000 women decision-makers to Columbus from various states. Aside from this event, the organization maintains two chapters in Ohio, in Columbus and Cleveland.

The conference will also host Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jennette Bradley as a keynote speaker. In a NAWBO press release, Bradley expressed excitement at joining the convention.
“Throughout my career I have seen firsthand the benefits that having diverse perspectives can bring to public service,” she said. “I look forward to engaging in this discussion on how and why more female entrepreneurs can and should get involved in shaping the future for themselves and their fellow women business owners.”
